Emma J Putrus
Emma Putrus and Claire Nixon are Senior Dietitians in the General Surgery Unit at the Royal Adelaide Hospital, specializing in Upper GI surgery. With over 25 years of combined experience, their expertise lies in nutritional management of patients having oesophago-gastric cancer surgery, as well as body composition, and prehabilitation.
They co-chair the South Australian Gastrointestinal Surgery Dietitians Group and are co-founders of 3D Dietetics, a private practice they established alongside a colleague. In 2023, Emma and Claire were awarded the Royal Adelaide Hospital Research Committee’s Allied Health, Pharmacy & Nursing Grant, enabling them to advance their research in these evolving areas.
