David Liu is an Oesophago-gastric and General Surgeon practicing at Austin Health and the Peter MacCallum Cancer Centre, Victoria, Australia. He is also an Associate Professor within The University of Melbourne, Department of Surgery. David has a passion for service innovation, translational biology, and clinical collaborative research, focussing on both benign and malignant upper gastrointestinal diseases, as well as general surgical conditions. He is widely published and has a strong track record for attracting research funding. Moreover, David leads the Victorian Interventional Research and Trials Unit at Austin Health, which canvases a wide portfolio of Phase 1 to 3 clinical trials and translational studies that are investigator-led and industry sponsored.
